Katrina Good for The Poor
the truth exposed

Barbara Bush, who accompanied former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, on a tour of the Astrodome complex Monday, said the relocation to Houston is "working very well" for some of the poor people forced out of New Orleans.

"What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality," she said during a radio interview with the American Public Media program "Marketplace." "And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

God forbid Texas have to take in any MORE of those people.

Was there EVER a better example of the snobby upperclass BITCH?
I doubt it.

At last the slimy underbelly of the 'right' has been exposed.

Most of this 'mess' is the fault of those who stayed behind. No matter their socioecomonic status or their physical capacity to evacuate. Even those who did evacuate. They got what was coming to them because they were living immoral lives, having babies out of wedlock, most likely on welfare assistance. They were poor because they are lazy, unmotivated, slobs living off society. Now they're all sitting in some stadium, arena, shelter, ect., in filth and squallor. Waiting for the government to come and take care of them. They're all chasing television cameras around hoping to get on the news saying how bad things are going.
They (the right) love the pictures of desperate, out-of-control black folks. It's political sustenance for them. They've already started in on the drumbeat of how Katrina was good because it exposes the depth of America's junkie-like addiction to the welfare state.
Hell, in fact these people are actually going to be better off now, because they'll get yet more government handouts and be able to live even better lives. Which of course they will throw away because their stupid, lazy and have the morals of dogs.
If they had any sense of self-respect or personal accountablity they'd get up off their asses, get out there and "find a plan of action". Some way to get a job, shelter, food, water, clothing, for themselves.
Forget about the fact that they have NO fucking way to 'get' anywhere. No clothes to wear to find a job. No shoes. No way to feed themselves or put a roof over their heads until this 'job' starts paying. Forget about the fact that there's over 200,000 of them and not anywhere near enough jobs to begin to support even half of them. Forget that these people have just lost everything thing they own. Including for many, members of their own families.
Who gives a crap? Certainly not the people of the party of higher morals and values. Certainly not the pseudo-christians of the religious right. No, their too busy looking down their snobby, self-rightous, noses and bitching about the 'lazy, irresponsibility' of those people.

Katrina was certainly good for one thing. It has exposed the true character of those who think they've staked a claim on morals, values and Chrisitianity. For the first time in my life I genuinely understand why Atheist and Agnostics have such distain and disrespect for Christians and the church. Have we seen the Catholic church sending in volunteers? Or money? How about the Southern Baptist Association? Where's the Jewish Families of America's league? Their sitting on their high horses passing judgement on those people.
How many politicians have we seen slushing through the nasty waters rescuing people and animals? None. Nada. Zip.
How many of those Hollywood, liberal pussy types have we seen? So far I've counted at least half a dozen. Samuel L. Jackson, Harry Connick Jr., Tim McGraw, to name a few.
How many politicians have you seen donate any of their own money? None. Nada. Zip.
Yet, Oprah Winfry donated $5 million of her OWN money. Johnny Depp, Susan Sarradon and her husband Tim Robbins, Sean Penn, Rosie O'Donell, all gave mega bucks. Just to name a few.
But those on the right want to question these 'Hollywood types' right to voice their opinions.
Bradly Whitford (Josh Lyman of West Wing) said tonight, "Over the past 3 years, I, a Hollywood actor, have received over a quater of a million dollars in tax cuts. Yet these poor people can't get the 'same government' that gave me those tax breaks, to shelter and feed them, in their hour of greatest need..." What the hell kind of country are we living in?

A country currently being run by the selfish, greedy, arrogant, sanctimonious, self-aggrandizing, pseudo-christian, chickenhawks, who call themselves the right .
Well people if THIS is being 'right', screw it, I'll take the 'left' any day.
