Greenspan says....

" In congressional testimony, Mr Greenspan said reforms that cut spending on Social Security and Medicare were needed."

Now, why does this not surprise me? The massive tax cuts that Bush, and the primarily Repugnican Republican Congress, have implemented for the roughly 10% of Americans who are in the upper class has created an appalling deficit. But do you think he's going to suggest that maybe those tax cuts should be repealed? Well, hell no! Instead who are they looking at to make even more sacrifices? The elderly and disabled of course. The wealthy don't depend on Social Security. They have stock, bonds and savings. It's the middle class, the poor and the disabled that depend on Social Security. Yep, good old Dubya / Boy George our YOUR President has yet again screwed the majority of Americans.
I'm tempted to say many of them deserve it. They defend him, they say he's a great President. When confronted with mounting evidence that he has lied and mislead the American people, over and over. They say "so what..." Heck, some of them are even gonna vote for him again!! They just don't get that he doesn't give a damn about anyone other than the rich folks who bankroll him. You know his Momma and Daddy ain't gonna hurt one bit if SS is cut. Neither will Dick Cheney, or Karl Rove, or John Ashcroft. Not even Colin Powell.
You know who's gonna be screwed? Y O U, David, Dick, Mary Lou, Phyllis, CJ, Brenda, James, Dennis, Amy, Bobby, John, Kim, Becky, (all us Baby Boomers) Kelley, Rob, Joe, Steve, Oldcatman, Dave, Edward, Jen, and your Mothers and Fathers, Grandmothers, Grandfathers, aunts, uncles, and our CHILDREN especially our children. Oh, yeah, and me!

"Mr Also Ran" runs again

So Ralph Nader is going to run, yet again. Whoopty dooooo. Did we really expect anything else from this needy little man? His desire to extend his 15 minutes of fame to a full half hour shouldn't surprise anyone. He and all his potential voters/followers Know Damned Well he hasn't a chance in hell of being elected. In fact I suspect if Mary Lou's sweet little Sadie made a run for the White House , SHE would get more votes. I'd darn sure vote for her over him.
If you really want to know what I think about Mr Nader, well , let me borrow a few lines from Green Voicemail's , post titiled "Nader for Non-President".
" In Nader's eyes, the country needs to be shaken down to its roots, stripped apart by Bush before America finally wakes up.
That price is too high to pay.
Bush has already done enough damage, and we do not need Bush for four more years in the White House. Will Kerry start the healing? PLEASE. The man is up to his expansive forehead in hock to special interests. But at least he won't do damage at the rate that Bush is doing it. And allowing George Bush to remain in the White House is like giving a pyromanic the keys to the gasoline refinery."
