The Last Throes
"It didn't take long for the bubble of euphoria to burst ... and make a mockery of Dick Cheney's claim that the insurgency was "in its last throes". ... "It's difficult to look at the past two days in Iraq and not see the foolish, hubris of Dick Cheney's remarks.
Battalion loses 19 men in two bloody days in Iraq New York City journalist kidnapped and killed in Iraq on TuesdayIt truly is remarkable how much BS this administration puts out on a weekly basis, and then has the nerve to act shocked--SHOCKED--when the American people get tired of swallowing it.
Or are they? Are the American people really tired of the BS this administration is spewing forth? Apparently the ones living in southern Ohio still believe the republicans are doing a swell job of running things. When an
Iraqi War Vet , loses to a
wrinkled old republican war hag, you can't help but wonder what the phuck is wrong with the people of this country? Who in their right mind could believe this woman could better represent the people of southern Ohio than a man who's been there and done that? Or does she? Maybe she does represent what they stand for. What they believe.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm the one who's just not
getting it. Maybe I'm the one who's blind and cannot see. Because if this is what the majority of the people want. If these people (Bush/Republicans/Schmidt) are what the
sheeple people want, then this is not the country I grew up in. This is not my country any more.
Well either that or they're still using those
paperless, trailess Diebold voting machines in Ohio. In which case we don't
really know who won do we?
