Any guess's as to what Washington's reply will be? I'm opting for
"Ah No", or
"Not just NO, but HELL NO!".
I find it thought-provoking that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield and even Britian's Blair were all touting AI back in 02 for their assessment of Saddam and his treatment of Iraqi's. They
"got it right..." in regards to Sudan. Back then AI was
"a great international orgainzation, with no political agenda...". My, my how the attitudes have changed since it's they and not their pseudo-enemy on the stinging end of the truth.
The problem is that more and more our government is seeing the rest of the world as a place they need to either liberate (conquer) or instruct on the proper way to lead and govern. It is little wonder so many in the world disrespect, dislike and fear us.
Our government would do well to heed the doctrine,
"first do no harm"
